After listening to this for about a month solid, it is now welded to me in a most welcome manner.
The review was poor on here, but i can only assume that this was down to it only being listened to a couple of times by the reviewer. The first time I listened to it, I wasn't struck by anything overly impressive, but this has grown into a genuine love of this record. I honestly do not think there is a bad song on it and the structure and variety of ideas on display are hugely impressive.
For those who liked the debut and have dismissed this as a weak succesor, I urge you to revisit it and give it some time. There's plenty to be gained from repeat listening with this record.
10/10 and album of the year. It will take something very, very good to topple it by December.
