Has this abomination reached UK shores yet?

For some reason, SOny or EMI or whatever has decided to force this german teen sensation down the throats and ears of audiences outside of Germany. I am so pissed off by this. Of course it will be successful, the singer has a my chemical romance androgynous look that appeals to 14-16 year old girls and the song is a bland-fest not too upsetting for their parents. I can't even begin to imagine how many german teachers are trying to be hip and down with the kids by translating the lyrics in their courses...

Why couldn't they try to market a worthwhile german pop band like Wir Sind Helden or Kettcar.
