From all the fuss about this band here I decided (finally!) to check them out via their myspace page.

I thought they'd either be god's gift to Britain or more likely utter dog shit based upon the banter. Turns out they're neither. They're very...what's the Americ- erm, British phrase I'm looking for? ...very Meh.

Libertines comparisions? Oh, you're too generous methinks! The Libs were ten times this band. A watered down Arctic Monkeys more like. I nearly choked on Toothpaste Kisses, wtf? Thank god Pete and Carl never said, Hey let's pretend we're bunny rabbits for Stephen Merrit. American girls might find English accents irresistable but how does that account for an 8/10 DiS rating?

I'm not saying they're terrible. I'm just saying .... meh.

In short, what... are these guys on the DiS label or something? Why are these guys so popular with DiS??
