the scene is now

Just the best band I have heard in ages. I guess like others I followed them up after listening to Yo La Tengo's cover of 'Yellow Sarong' on 'Fakebook'. Songs like Bank are like none I've ever heard before. Its beautifully written, well constructed pop music, but it takes tangents and produces sounds like none I've heard before. 'The Oily Years 1983-1993' is all I've got, but if somebody could point me in the direction of more I'd be very happy. Its the sort of music I'd have a real hard time placing in terms of when it was produced, obviously I know now after finding out a bit, but its really not rooted down, its spreads itself, in terms of its style, amazingly.
