I saw The National last night. They were musically tighter than they were on the Alligator tour. They replaced the good looking chick violin player with a really talented guy, and yet:

Boxer tour: 7/10
Alligator tour: 10/10

Is it me? Was it the night? Moving to a slightly larger venue? I think maybe Matt Beringer was so pissed off at half the Troubadour-crowd leaving after CYHSY (Alligator) he may have delivered the performance of his life. But maybe it was me.
