Did anyone else get into loads of bands via skate videos?

Alex-in-Ciderland [Edit] [Delete] 16:23, 1 July '07

I've just been thinking about the various ways that I got into bands and it occurred to me that I heard a hell of a lot of them for the first time on skate videos.

411 Video Magazine was particularly good, that was where I first heard Husker Du, Dag Nasty, Minor Threat, Refused, Black Flag, Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, Jurassic 5, Company Flow, New Kingdom, Youth Brigade, Gorilla Biscuits and loads of other stuff.......

You'd always get the name of the band, song, album and record label on screen which in a pre internet (or pre me having access to the internet) age was great.
