How guilty do you feel for downloading entire albums?

beautiful_balloon [Edit] [Delete] 14:14, 6 July '07

So, Interpol's Our Love To Admire is not even out until Monday - but DiS and other sites are full of discussion about it already! Is piracy now such a prevalent part of media-consumption thats its just seen as expected now? The norm?

No-one really seems to draw attention to it, but when you think of all the work gone into making the album, the time spent writing the songs and touring.. well surely that should make one feel guilty about what is essentially stealing well-deserved money from your favourite artists? And pushing them into a situation where they struggle to maintain enough money to keep going?

I don't want to sound like your Dad but really, is everyone beyond feeling guilty about this? Why aren't Torrents illegal? I think its all rather sad
