Turntable advice

matthewsimpson1 [Edit] [Delete] 00:37, 9 July '07

God day everyone, I'd like to buy a record player for my hi fi so I can listen to old records the way they were supposed to be listened to. This was sparked when I was listening to Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets earlier and thought they sounded kind of crap after the conversion to CD. I also really wat Pet Sounds on vinyl.

Aaaanyway I digress. I'm off to Brighton on Thursday and I'd quite like to come back with a turntable and some records. Does anyone have advice as to;

a- a particular make/model that is good value and not to expensive.

b- a good store to buy said player in Brighton.

If not there is a Richer Sounds in Southampton so I could get it there. Any advice would be super duper.

Thanks in advance, Matt.
