If (when) I'm ever in the position to decide on my band's singles policy, I wouldn't do what everyone does right now.

I think its massively lazy and pretty boring, to just release 5 songs off your album as singles. Bands should write and release completely separate singles. It'd give much more relevance to the charts, and would be much more pleasing for the fans.

Why don't people do it any more?
