Chas and Dave.

I've championed them for years now, but the other day, I had an epiphany. I was walking into town on my lunch break and "Poor Old Mr Woogie" came on my iPod. I never realised how good/deep that song is!

The piano playing on it is amazing. Chas is a whirling dervish up and down those ivories. The drums and bass trundle along, nicely upbeat. As musicians - hugely under-rated!

The lyrics: They took the idea of the phrase "boogie woogie" and turned them into actual entities, confounded how Mr Boogie won't help out his former colleague, Mr Woogie, now that everyone is "boogie-ing down at the discos"
Could also be a metaphor for C n D's own relationship - despite any fall outs they've had, its always when they are combined that their best is produced.
