This rarely happens to me. I find that whilst I dabble in genres and types of music which don't fit my usual taste in soaring instrumental/ shoegaze and gutwrenching hardcore and other such rockin' stuff, I rarely do more than 'like' a band which isn't in that genre.

I am now completely in love with super furry animals though. It's funny, cause I usually hate anything pop based with lots of whoo whoos and lilting melodies, but my god, these boys are sheer genius.

So, bands you adore, but don't really fit in your head?
