Popular American Black Music

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 19:05, 24 July '07

Its pretty ironic how this has gone from being musically astonishing to so, so poor, isn't it?

Black singers in the 50s and the 60s introduced the world to rock 'n' roll, and had such amazingly good voices. They were like the best singers of their generation.

But now, they don't sing, they speak. They also put beat before melody in terms of priority. Its odd how Black Americans went from being pretty much the kings of guitar music, to the creators of some of the most horrible music that spoils the airwaves of popular radio.

Its also a massive shame. Talent gone to waste.
