Yes this has been out for ages and yes it's been discussed before, but it's grown on me so much over the past couple of months. It really hit home just how much I like the album when I checked the play count on my ipod - turns out I've listened to the entire album over 70 times. I'm listening to Bliss In Concrete right now and it's ridiculously bitching. I guess a lot of people have been put off by either the newly concise song structures or Larry Herweg's drumming (which, incidentally, seems to fit better every time I hear the album) but this is a criminally underrated record.

So yeah...Pelican, pretty great?
