Hi I am the drummer from meet me in st louis and I have noticed several threads on here with sarcastic remarks about the fact that we had to pull out of the dis show in Leicester last week.
Both these remarks have been made by major contributors to dis.
I woke up the morning of the show and could barely move my left arm, this was due to a trapped nerve, was extremely painfull and I was unable to play for four days after.
I thought I would explain as some people seem to be under the impression this was an excuse.
We have pulled out of three shows the entire time we have been going and always only when we had no other choice.
I apologised to the promoter and offered to try and find a band to take our place but this was obviously not good enough.
I think it's a shame that even though there was nothing I could do about the situation the organisers still feel the need to make comments like this.
dis has been very good to us and the last thing we wanted to do was let everyone down.
