Hi, I was hoping you could help me. I play bass in a band called Craine and we recently got an email from a company called Ditto Music. Basically, they noticed that we've been blowing up on the internet and said that they could get us in the charts for £40. Snazzy, I thought, but I showed it to my mum and she said that it was just a barcode they were trying to flog us.

Actually, none of the above is true. But I do have a serious question. My band got an message on Myspace from one of these people who put compilations together. Normally, you've never heard of them and they expect a huge amount of cash, indicating that their business is as bent as a nine bob note. However, the people we just heard from appear to have links to XFM and Artrocker and are asking for £65. Should I enquire further or do you reckon it's another con?
