do you like them?

This Town Needs Guns sound exactly like American Football, with more technical guitars a la Victor Villareal outta Owls/Cap'n Jazz, and the occassional bit that sounds like Youthmovies. all of these reference points are bands that i fucking love.

they do it all very well (very good playing, and its not just a lazy rip off, a few directly stolen fragments aside) and clearly put effort and emotion into it, and are probably lovely guys, but i find it completely impossible to actually enjoy them when it's so directly similar.

has anyone else had this?
