I might bump this tomorrow or Monday 'cos everyone's probably out tonight.

This is a question for people in bands really (although promoters can chip in too if they want). Do you ask for a fee for gigs and if so, roughly how much (you don't need to be precise if you don't want to) and at what point did you start doing it?

I still never really ask for money to do gigs but I'm wondering whether I ought to and am interested to know what other bands do...
