So what have been people's favourite pop songs of the year? By pop songs I mean actual chart-bothering hit releases - I am not going to describe them as "guilty pleasures" as I don't believe in guilt, or at least you shouldn't feel guilty for liking any particular kind of music.

My own favourite is "Glamorous" by Fergie (it's those synth strings - they just slay me!) whose use of the term "flouncy flouncy" so upsets my mate that I can't help but sing it at him all the time just to watch him grimace. Ah, pop music, always there for the good things in life!
