All this dreamy "black metal" stuff

doctornovocalcords [Edit] [Delete] 16:25, 8 January '08

That's out there. Anyone here into it? As in Alcest, Ameseours, Wolves in the Throne Room etc.. No doubt more examples, which someone can hopefully tell me about.

It's really not black metal at all. It's got some black metal elements but is more shoegazey and atmospheric with almost no heaviness in the drums or guitars. Whatever the genre is, I love it.

The Ameseours EP is just brilliant and I think anyone into metal or post-rock or shoegazey stuff would love it.

And Wolves in the Throne Room are playing the UK in February. Cannot wait.
