My housemate and I were having a discussion about what happens to musicians who are fairly well known after their band has broken up? what do they do next, does the money last them a few years?

People like the singer from the cooper temple clause for example, or the singer from hope of the states etc. these people, who are well known in their field, do they just have to go out there and work normal jobs like schmucks?
