Not in the music business, obviously. As much as I like Maximo Park, for instance, if they fell off the edge of the earth tomorrow, I could easily get on with m'bad self.

But certain bands seem exempt - usually by putting out album(s) that have withstood the test of time such that we still discuss/play them long past their due date. BSP has put out now just 3 proper albums over a 5+ year period. The Wrens may never get around to it and yet we wait, patiently, for the possibility. And I won't even get started talking about MBV.

Who're the hot acts of today that can get away with such reckless disregard to our listening pleasure? Who are you patiently waiting to return?
