OK, maybe some of you have read the PF review of a 4 disc box set complilation, how the reviewer acknowledges stopping at 2000 makes sense because of a UK "strip mining" music scene since then. He has a point, but it's not as if the American indie can't be described in the same fashion, eh.

But never mind that, it isn't like we couldn't come up with a dozen great UK songs to fill an imaginary fifth disc.

PS: I don't really consider myself an anglophile in particular. I fell into DiS by mistake and have been unable to extricate myself. DiS is like quicksand, eh. I start this thread mostly cos I'm bored of work.
