Dealing with bad press

the_amwel [Edit] [Delete] 21:47, 23 January '08

Inspired partly by the Luke Leighfield review and subsequent thread and partly by my own experiences, I'm wondering how people in bands/solo artists on DiS deal with bad press.

Should you take it on the chin in a kind of "opinions are like arseholes - everyone's got one" way?

If somebody is going to pick apart your music in public, do you have a right to reply (particularly if it's a badly written review)?

Do fans that register on messageboards for the sole reason of posting "OMFGZZZ!!! I can't beleive you slated__________! They R gr8 and well nice in person!" do more harm than good?
