...I now like The Mars Volta. I still think the album could do with being 20 minutes or so shorter as there are too many long quiet random bits.
I don't understand how they've created something so experimental and (in places) catchy at the same time. Some of the most exciting explosions of sound I've ever heard.

Proves how much your music taste changes in 2 or 3 years. Now I need to hear De-Loused again to see what I think now. I've decided to purchase the new album as soon as possible.
Anyone else take this long to "get them"? Or any opinions on what is their best work is?
