if you're not aware of the story, here it is: danger mouse was called up to produce ike turner's new record and asked the black keys to write him some ballsy blues stompers for ike to wail over. ike died before his vocals could be recorded, and rather than letting the songs go to waste, danger mouse has produced the record with dan auerbach filling in. so, essentially, we've got an ike turner record, written AND performed by the black keys.
strange times is the new single and it's a huge return to form - rubber factory was good and magic potion had a few highlights, but nothing's touched thickfreakness. not really.
