Not being able to listen to a band because it's members were once in better bands

lemonbrickcombo [Edit] [Delete] 14:03, 11 February '08

I'm finding myself more and more afflicted with this curse. Many people have told me that because of my enduring love of Q And Not U, I should be listening to Ris Paul Ric. But I can't, it just does not sound as good. Same thing happens with The Blood Brothers and Jaguar Love- I can't take the latter seriously as they were so much better in their former guise. And I'm finding it harder and harder to like Future of the Left so much, cause I've started revisiting Mclusky.

So does this happen to anyone else? All the 'follow up acts' I've mentioned are certainly very good, but I just can't take them seriously in relation to their forebears...
