I obviously know about Liars and how much praise this album gets in particular. They seem like one of these bands you are either going to love or they will completely leave you cold. I would normally just buy it and see if I could "get into it".

The main reason I'm asking is that I've already heard bits of Drum's Not Dead and I wasn't impressed, however this was only briefly. Having said this I was probably not in the best environment to pay it my full attention. (I requested to hear it in a record shop where there are a lot of distractions).

Is it worth a proper chance despite the negative first impression? Should I like it based on my music taste?
