i used to listen to a lot, now i hardly listen to any. so many bands just sound like pale imitations of stuff i was listening to years ago, or in some cases (the trivium crowd) a bad parody of metal in general.
as such i'm totally out of touch of which metal bands are doing awesome things today.

and please none of those bands who integrate ambient 'post-rock' style meanderings into their songs. that really doesn't do it for me.
