Scenario: You, like 80% of the people on here (myself included, probably) are a socially decrepit indie kid who spends his time organising his cd collection by spine colour, alphabetically by record label, and in order of the time you bought it. One day, some girl decides she's interested in you. Naturally, the only option is to "make her a mix tape". You spend hours agonizing over the tracklist: it has to be cool (obviously, to show you're really cool and stuff) yet also romantic to show you're, like, romantic and shit. But you can't just put that on it, it needs to be obscure and diverse, because otherwise you'd be selling out on making the mix tape. There probably has to be a token hip hop song, electronic song, maybe even a bit of "classical" - it can't all be pavement and Los Campesinos.

My first nomination would be

It ticks all the boxes: Pretty obscure, electronic indie, shows you're "fun" yet also "deep", has soppy lyrics etc
