NIALLIST Free ALbum!

theNiallist [Edit] [Delete] 23:00, 22 March '08

Hi folks, I am currently going around telling all and sundry to get their hands on my debut album release, which is available from Little Rock Records, but the direct link is: http://www.littlerockrecords.com/releases/Lil016_The_Niallist_And_Out_Of_Nowhere--.zip

There's 6 tracks on it, including a version of Youth Against Fascism by Sonic Youth, and a 12 minute smack-techno version of Ghost Rider by Suicide. The whole album is havily influenced by White Light/White Heat by the Velvet Underground, except played through distorted synths and 909 drums. There's also shades of the Cramps meets Peaches (on Do The Flesh Crawl) and Radioactive Man meeting the Beach Boys (on Belief...). The whole thing is shot through with the rage I was feeling at the time at the world in general and the "alternative" music scene, spurred on by multiple viewings of The Filth and The Fury, which became a bit of an obsession!

I'd be interested in knowing what people on here think of this, you guys seem to take more easily to out of the box-type musics, and the album is definitely not for the pop charts...
