Gossamer Albatross began when Lewis, aged 18, quit his current electronic mishmash of a duo "No kill No beat" because of emotional trauma involving, typically, his best friend and girlfriend. From this disaster spouted a beautiful new project, entitled Gossamer Albatross just because he "thought it sounded quite cool". The traumatising love triangle disaster fuelled this project with anger and a motive to move away from fashionable electronics, inspiring Lewis to become the indie folk pop hero he is today. accompanied by his classically trained band, with new (and better) girlfriend, Geena, on the cello and violinists Reuben and Sam, the foursome now rock venues around Britain with their passionate, new folk-ish, Beirut wannabe melodies.
