in all my time on DiS, i don't think i've seen more than a few passing mentions of Stevie Wonder. Why the fuck not? The guy has got to be one of the most melodically gifted songwriters there has ever been, as well as being able to wail and tinkle with the best of them

I know he's had a few mis-steps, mainly erring on the side of schmaltz, but stuff like Innervisions is absolutely outstanding. So what? Has his talent been eclipsed by his status as a punchline, a beady dreadlocked blind man with a mugging grin? Or does DiS just not care about black people etc?
