Inspired by the notion of where to start with Stevie Wonder, who I've never really given a chance, along with pretty much everyone whose heyday was more than a decade back.

Odd question, I know, but I just never seem to bother listening to anything before about 1995 or so, let alone 1985 (this being when I was born, as the title suggests).

Now, I generally like somewhat leftfield music, usually stuff that fucks about across genres and a lot of the stuff I go for is hard enough to find in the week of release, let alone decades later, so it strikes me that what would appeal to me most is likely to have sunk without a trace in the meantime.

However, that's quite possibly balls, so if you could see your way to proving me wrong that would be lovely.
