Just a quick question for bands/artists who have mailing lists - what services do you use? Did you make a mailing list from scratch? Are you technically able with PHP and mySQL etc? Or did you use one of the online mailing list providers (NotityList.com etc)

I'm thinking of starting a mailing list for my music. I'm not a programmer or a computer 'geek', so if someone could recommend a service for me that'd be great. Or maybe it's really easy, and only a few online tutorials could point me in the right direction, please suggest some. I do have a couple of more computer-able friends who I suppose I could ask to help with something like that.
