Live band photographs

calumlynn [Edit] [Delete] 14:32, 19 September '08

Does anyone else hate the modern "trend" if you like, for nearly all photos of bands playing live to be taken in extreme close up?
It really pisses me off- it makes every single gig look exactly the same, and you don't get any sense of the scale of the venue or the atmosphere of the gig.

If I wanted to look at generic live shots I could go to the bands website or do a google image search- but at a specific gig, as a viewer of the photographs I want to know what it was like to be at THAT gig. I most likely already know what the lead singer looks like holding a guitar.

Anyone else agree?
