At a Foals gig? Really? I thought they were towards the... cerebral end of popular music. Even a review in the local newspaper bore this out. The reviewer even got hit by a bottle thrown from a car as she left the venue.

More reasons why I avoid the Bristol Academy as much as possible. I can only think you reap what you sow. Bristol University - good security and organisation, gigs always fun. Bristol Thekla - ditto. The Fleece - ditto again. No, you can't blame a venue's staff and security directly for people being idiots... but is it COMPLETELY unconnected that the one venue in Bristol that it's almost entirely unpleasant to be in is the one that seems to be an idiot magnet?
