Has no-one posted yet about the HMHB gig last night? (London-centric)

finchleydisco [Edit] [Delete] 12:13, 17 October '08

All I have to say is that it was my first HMHB gig and it was ACE. 100 minutes (!) of the wit and wisdom of Nigel Blackwell along with impromptu musical ditties by the man himself between songs. Apart from us being stood behind someone with chronic wind there were no low points whatsoever and the singing on the faithful filling a venue as large as the Forum brought a small tear to my eye at one point :)

As much as I hate to use this term, I have never seen a band "work so hard" to make an excellent gig and they totally delivered.

Mr Disco did note that "the band were'nt very tight" but that doesn't matter as I felt it added to the whole brilliant ramshackle experience.

And there was crowdsurfing. Ace.

I fully expect this to get zero replies but I don't care. It's made me love this band all over again when I thought I couldn't love them anymore.
