WiLd BeAsTs and live music in general

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 16:55, 22 October '08

were supporting Vampire Weekend last night.

Truly awful. I hate Queen, and so his dull Mercury-esque wailings fucked me off.

Evidently one of those bands that gets attention because they do something a bit 'different' to everyone else.

Vampire Weekend were also lacking. Were it not for the fact their songs are already well good, their performance would have sniffed bottom.

The current format of live music is dead. Unless you give audiences a unique experience like no other, or you are a virtuoso at what you do, you have nothing to offer anybody and should sod off.

I'd like gigs to be about dancing. Like when a band's on at an 'event' not dedicated to their performance and people jive a bit, as opposed to standing there, watching someone who is in no way any more special than their audience working through a list of songs, and then going home.
