Hokaben?

Anthonyc [Edit] [Delete] 13:48, 9 November '08

Whose been to Hokaben this weekend then? I was there last night and I really enjoyed a mix of so many bands I wasn't familar with. Couldn't find another thread.

Deathscalator - Not so hot

Scorpion, Scorpion - One quy from New Zealand singing over a backing track with a cardigan, wig and generally jumping round like a mad-man singing songs about Satan. Was very funny (was supposed to be!)

Neptune - Brilliant experimental band all instruments looked home made, huge drum kit really liked them.

Stearica - Best band I saw over the weekend, really load & heavy but great riffs, interesting load. Not boring heavy riffing stuff. The Bass player was in a wheelchair which I really liked too how he has managed to get it together to be in a touring band. Saw him going around the venue in the wheelchair seeing bands too.

Please - London band I'd seen before, really good band despite few utter cunts in the crowd jumping on him, detuning his guitar etc etc..

Acid Mother Temple - Not really my thing bit too much fret wanking etc. But was interesting enough for half an hour.

Vialka - Like a classical come post-punk twosome really enjoyed it.

Was bout all for me. What did everyone else think?
