4Music has been pathetic from day 1. Do guitars exist before 9pm, if at all? It was during an existential pummeling that I discovered the two best pop songs of the moment:

'Womanizer' by Britney Spears
'The Promise' by Girls Aloud

Girl Aloud continue to release great singles that AREN'T covers or ballads. This one is fucking addictive, and despite having a laptop and the ability to use Youtube - I find myself waiting for it to come on the freeview bastard.

Britney Spears comes back with a kind of Toxic part 2 thing. But its better than Toxic part 1. The vocal riffing of the word "WOMANIZER", and "YOU'RE A", has surely been ochestrated by Björn Kristian Ulvaeus during a coke binge. I fucking love it.
