Last night confirmed my slowly-growing feelings - they are the best band in the world at what they do. The builds, the crashes, the spills, the fills... I felt prickles of intense JOY throughout, and even at Islington Academy which we all know can suck the soul from any band worth their salt.

Imagine them at Reds, 11pm, when you're a little tanked and ready to dance. Mogwai make you swoon, Isis make you moan, Explosions make you sigh... Russian Circles do all three and much more... it's like Dave Ghrol and Marnie Stern and Kerry King forming an instruMetal band and totally owning.
