After years of having the opinion that New Order weren’t really that good, riding on the wave of ‘Blue Monday’ for their whole career, I listened to Power, Corruption & Lies last night and it’s really good. Then I ended up on a New Order kick for the rest of the night and realised they have so many great songs – ‘Age of Consent’, ‘Temptation’, ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’, ‘Love Vigilante’, and so on. Why was this kept from me? Why didn’t someone say “New Order are actually pretty good; you should listen to ‘Temptation’ and do the “up, down, turn around dance”? ‘Cause no one said that to me.

So yeah, New Order = great.
