I had written off Idlewild after the MOR borefest that was Warnings/Promises. I felt betrayed after loving them since hearing Last Night I Missed All The Fireworks on Peel's show back in 1997. So I had not given Make Another World a second thought even after hearing it was their return to form.

Then I got an email from recordstore.com regarding a sale, and they had MAW for £1.99, "what the hell" I thought, "at that price it doesn't matter if it's shit, I'll give it a go", and Lo! It's great! Roddy and Co, I take it all back, you do still have it in you! All is not lost, Hurrah!
