Me and a friend are getting into making some electronic music together. I'm not sure where we're headed yet, and what our ideas will turn out to be, but we both love indie and electronic stuff that is original and perfectly made.

We both adore Bjork, The Knife, Crystal Castles, etc.
Anyway, does anyone have experience making electronic music? Anyone tried their hand at it? I don't want to make just, "dance" music, I want to make original stuff.
Just any tips/insight/general advice would be awesome.
