I know it's a much asked question, but I'm interested. I was once told that for most people, it is usually the decade in which they were teenagers and young adults. Though my music taste and my collection is is spread fairly widely across a number of decades, I have always had a love affair with the 80s - but I was born in 1980 so if there's any truth in what I had been told, I should love the 90s. Anyway, the 80s for me is just a magical period, and I literally appreciate any music that comes from that era from new-wave through post-punk, new romantic, to Rick Astly and Bananarama for God sake. It's just warm and magical for me.
