I've seen White lies three times now since Reading festival and their gig the other week at Koko's was immense. Harry McVeighs vocals pretty much dick all over Brandon Flowers and all of their songs' are epic, especially 50 on our foreheads. When their album comes out next month they're gonna be huge.
However, what gets me is the way that fiction have pulled the bands pants down and bent the lads over their monitors. The amount of money and marketing effort obviously behind them is pretty sickening. Although loads of people are predicting them to be the next joy division or whatever I just can't see it happening purely because they don't have any strand left of a punk rock ethic...
