After reading a very favourable album review on here, I was pleased to see These New Puritans as the main support for The XX last night.
Then a small horn section arrived on stage and I thought that we could be in for a treat. Then two drummers, a cute nonchalant looking girl and a chav guitarist completed the line-up, all good so far.

Then the music began and I can say, without any hyperbole, the worst music I have ever heard in my entire gig going life.
They sounded like a bunch of angry Milton Keynes FE college students, on a music production BTEC, who'd gotten hold of an old Peter and the Wolf 12" and with their rudimentary knowledge of Fruity Loops proceeded to aurally defecate over it.
I don't usually care if I don't enjoy the support act, there is always a bar to perch at and I'm more than happy to oblige. These guys however I found personally insulting.
