I've never had a record player before. The other day though as I was in Oxfam yet again picking through the endless Robbie Williams cds in an attempt to find anything of any worth, and looking longingly at the fantastic vinyl collection, I thought it might be good to get one.

I have no idea what I'm looking for though. I don't want to go spending crazy money, but I guess I have a pretty flexible budget of somewhere around £60. <Has no idea if that's reasonable>

Where should I look? What kind of specifications should I keep an eye on? Other stuff I don't know? Share your wisdom please DiS. Do feel free to be as patronising and specific as possible.
