I don't mean in like the Britpop sense of the word, I mean do bands sound like the areas they're from? For example it's Burial that got me thinking about this - it just sounds like South London at night, and in their pomp Basement Jaxx sounded like Brixton. Is it true of bands anymore, and is it important either way? I used to think so but I'm not so sure anymore...
