So, after numerous mishaps and turns of fate I'm finally seeing LCD Soundsystem tonight (about 4 years later than preferred, but never mind). It's at Alexandra Palace, which I've never been to before, but am reliably informed is a shit venue. Why is this, and is there any way to mitigate the shitness?

Sidebar: Hot Chip has just never clicked for me. Couple of songs yeah, but albums-wise I just don't feel it. What's yer favourite Hot Chip [hoping for some last minute conversion]?
